written in the stars: The Solaria Collection

Some stories find you when you need them most.

A few years ago, while recovering from my first major sarcoidosis surgery, I did what any millennial avoiding their feelings at 2 a.m. would do—I opened TikTok. That’s when I came across a video of one of the authors describing Zodiac Academy as “Harry Potter for adults… if Voldemort ran Hogwarts.” I watched it twice. Okay—three times. And then I clicked.

From that moment on, I fell headfirst into the world of Solaria.

I devoured all seven Zodiac Academy books that were out at the time, followed by the Ruthless Boys series, every novella, and even the short stories tucked into charity anthologies. And once I finished? I started over. I couldn’t get enough. Even when the plotlines ripped my heart out and Riverdanced on it (IYKYK), I kept turning the pages.

There was something about the world Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti created that refused to let me go—something raw, fierce, and magnetic. Maybe it was the razor-sharp banter with a certain grumpy cardinal magic professor. Maybe it was the “do I love them or hate them?” dynamic with the Heirs. Maybe it was the Vega twins—two fire-hearted girls just trying to survive a world they never asked to be part of. Or maybe it was the unforgettable journey: messy, dark, and hard-earned.

Whatever it was, it stuck.

Books have always been my safe place—a world to escape into when mine felt overwhelming, and a source of strength when I had none left to give. And in Zodiac Academy, I saw reflections of my own story: girls raised in survival mode, navigating systems that failed them, still managing to rise and claim their power.

So when the chance came to collaborate with Caroline and Susanne on an official Zodiac Academy collection for Vudora Marie, it felt like more than a dream. It felt like a full-circle moment—one that honors both their story and mine.

This collection is a love letter to Solaria.
To phoenix fire and elemental fury.
To found family, redemption arcs, and soul-deep resilience.

Every design was created with fans in mind (because I am one—wholeheartedly, obsessively), and with so much love for the stories that reminded me who I was, even in my hardest chapters. Yes, even the scream-into-a-pillow ones.
